LB 40

Our starting point was the LB40 prototype, a 12-metre vessel with a slow planing hull with a classic and elegant line characterized by an almost vertical bow. Designed for medium range navigation taking into account even rough seas to be faced safely with its high sides and low center of gravity. The large and spacious engine compartment carries two FNM model 42 of 2 x 350 HP which allow the boat to plan and sustain itself at a cruising speed of 14 – 16 knots with maximum peaks of 22 knots. The engines are electronically controlled as are the mounted inverters. Reduced consumption (approximately 50 liters per hour) and great autonomy dictated by the capacity of the tanks (750 liters X 2). The steering system with dual controls is precise and functional. Maneuvers in port are facilitated by the bow thruster. The interior fittings are carefully designed and with innovative space solutions that allow for excellent storage and comfortable interior living with two cabins with four beds plus a sofa bed in the dinette for a total of six beds. LB 40 is equipped with a platform command and control system that allows you to check the main parameters of the vessel with the digital possibility of opening and closing valves, pumps, fuel systems and a navigation control system that works in parallel with the classic cmap and radar navigators. This system allows not only the helmsman but all guests on board to have a general situation of the ongoing navigation. Finally, the main parameters of the navigation in progress are shown on the helmsman’s dashboard with particular reference to the next point of approach or arrival with a system that helps the helmsman himself to stay on course. These systems are proprietary and exclusive to the LB40 and available in the setup of other CNT boats. The LB series offers a semi-planing or slow planing hull and is intended to lead to the development of boats with excellent seakeeping and the lowest consumption in their respective category, intended for sea lovers who love to experience the boat all the time.
