WHO WE ARE

CNT Nautica Servizi, a new brand with deep roots.
Boats made to go out to sea, in maximum safety, designed for those who want to sail and enjoy the sea in all seasons.
Boats designed by the ModernWoodenBoats studio that has supplied hull models to the most established companies of both sailing and motor yachts, with classic lines that are sometimes old fashion like our LB 40.
We build boats exclusively on the order of the customer who will have a large series of hull construction plans from 12 to 15 meters in length from which to start with their own customization from the earliest stages of design.
We build without molds or series models; each boat will be a unique piece, a precious object with a soul dictated by the experience of forty years on the sea of the founding partners.

THE MATERIALS

We love traditions, our traditions aware of past excellence in both recreational and professional boating. We build and install on board materials and equipment of national production, often coming from our South as the engines that power our creations, the FNM, powerful and reliable engines made just for those who bring our boats, for those who want to navigate safely with great attention to consumption and the environment.

The woods we offer are, regardless of their origin, seasoned and treated in Italy, and are selected after careful design study for the planking, for the structural beams, bulkheads and for the interior fittings.

LB 40

Our starting point was the LB40 prototype, a 12-meter slow planing hull with a classic and elegant line characterized by an almost vertical bow straight. Designed for medium range navigation taking into account rough sea to be tackled safely with its high sides and low center of gravity.

The large and spacious engine compartment embodies 2 x 350 HP FNM 42 models that allow the boat to plane and sustain itself at a cruising speed of 14 – 16 knots with maximum peaks of 22 knots. The motors are electronically controlled as well as the mounted inverters. Reduced consumption (about 50 lt hour) and great autonomy dictated by the capacity of the tanks (750lt X 2). The steering system with dual controls is precise and functional. Maneuvers in port are facilitated by the bow thruster.
The interior fittings are refined and with innovative space solutions that allow excellent stowage and comfortable living inside with two cabins with four beds plus sofa bed in the dinette for a total of six beds. Large bathroom with separate shower set. We offer interior fittings in cherry, mahogany and oak in the various internal areas and in the astern cockpit.

LB 40 is equipped with a platform command and control system that allows you to check the main parameters of the boat with the digital possibility of opening and closing valves, pumps, fuel systems and a control system for navigation that works in parallel with the classic cmap and Radar navigators. This system allows not only the helmsman but all the guests on board to have a general situation of the navigation in progress. Finally, the main parameters of the navigation in progress are shown on the dashboard of the helmsman, with particular reference to the next waypoint or arrival point with a system that helps the helmsman himself to stay on course.
These systems are proprietary and exclusive to the LB40 and available in the outfitting of the other CNT boats.

CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES

We build the hulls of boats with modern systems, always using traditional wood that is inseparable element from the concept of the “boat” its-self and with resins available today such as the epoxy system. In the Stripe Planking Composite construction, the disposable model that gives the shape to the hull is made up of a certain number of sections called “sixths” that are wrapped with a series of suitably sized boards prepared for the entire length of the hull and glued to the surface ‘one on the top to complete the bundle giving shape to our hull. The construction system is called “composite” since then, we move on to the phase of complete external and internal coating with fiberglass sheets soaked in the same epoxy resin (lamination process) which once dry, leads to an extremely resistant structure that encloses a wooden core giving elasticity to the structure itself.
The load-bearing structures, keel, internal and external engine saddles, bottom lines, edge and side lines up to the boundary are made of sturdy solid “okoume” wood and the boat is equipped with nine bulkheads that fit together and resin-coated the aforementioned bearing structures.
Finally, all the supporting structures and the sides are then lined internally with panels of the wood chosen for the interior.

LB 34 CR or with Fly Bridge is designed to accommodate a large owner’s cabin, a bathroom, possible additional berth and a dinette with sofas and kitchen top in addition to the possibly double wheelhouse in the FB version.
